Headset Help
« on: November 13, 2013, 05:44:47 pm »
Hi all,

Yesterday I purchased an afterglow Bluetooth earpiece/headset for use in gta online. I have it all set up for my PlayStation and the test within the settings shows that it works, however, I doesn't seem to be working in game on gta online. Is there a certain setting that I need to adjust to fix this?

Curious as it seems that I cannot hear myself, nor does the microphone symbol by my name in the player list show up. Thanks for your help!

Hey man,

I'm pretty sure it's not something you have to turn on in-game, BUT there is something about needing to enable voice-chat in general on your system. That's the only thing I can think of right now if it works in the settings...

Okay. The microphone symbol does show up now in the menu before missions, but I don't hear myself at all. Is it just a matter of needing to change a setting in order to hear myself talk or can everybody hear me just fine despite the fact that I can't hear myself?

You shouldn't be able to hear yourself in-game. That would be annoying too haha :)
