The YouTube Channel / Recording Availability [Parq] (Mostly for Relaxxii)
« on: December 14, 2013, 05:51:20 pm »
So basically, I want to start off by saying my most sincerest apology ever to Relaxxii, because I haven't been able to record. I am very sorry about that, it just that as a 13 year old with strict parents i'm not always available to record and come on whenever I want. I hope this does not affect me getting kicked out, and I try to stay as active as I can. So here are my timings and info.

Timezone: GMT + 3

Timings to record:
  • Sunday to Wednesday from 9AM (GMT) to 12AM (GMT) [Except on Tuesdays]
  • Thursday to Saturday when a recording is requested I will try and proceed to do it.

Please forgive me Relaxxii and I will try and do as much recording for the crew on my own as I can :)

Thanks guys :D

First things First

So basically, a few of you have been asking "how do you record your personal PS3 gameplay + voice" etc… and it's not that simple so I decided to help you out.  :)

To record, you will need to buy an "accessory" (as some might call it) for your PS3. This accessory is called a GameCapture otherwise known as an HDPVR.

My top 2 favorite GameCaptures are (Will list the links below) the ElgatoGameCaptureHD (I own) which is very simple and easy to set up and it has a program as shown below. The other is the hauppauge HDPVR, I have never owned it so I can't say much about this one, sorry.

Here are a few ways to obtain them.
¬Your Nearest electronic store may have them in stock.
¬You can order them online from the links I will list below.
¬You can also obtain them cheaper from EBay. (Wont list a link for quality assurance.)

The next thing you will need is some software that can record your voice (From your mic) and the PS3 sound. I personally use an application both for the PC and Mac called Audacity (Example Below). Audacity is a free application that allows you to record the audio from many different devices at once and then export them out as a normal .mp3 for instance file that you may also edit with in the future.

ALSO NOTE: (You have to be willing to spend $100 or More)

Here Comes the Links!

If there is anything I missed out, please inform me and I will try and add it.

Check out my post in the "The Youtube Channel" forum page for information on what you need to record. And how to do it and stuff like that :P

I'm not the best at editing mate, but I was also thinking about that. We probably need several editors for this to continue.
